There aren't a huge number of recipes in this book but everyone I have tried has been really good. Instructions are clear and the descriptions of "why this works" are informative. Overall, this was well worth the money.

I made the corn chowder and it was the best I've ever had. I can't wait to try more recipes from this book as winter approaches.Amended : I've now also made the mushroom and wild rice soup. My girlfriend said it was the best thing I've ever cooked for her. This book is amazing.

I love soups; they were standard fare in our home. This book is a winner! I have made about half of the recipes and honesty I have enjoyed them all. I also have purchased 3 additional copies as gifts for special people. I highly recommend it to cooks of all levels of expertse.

I am working my way through this book. Haven't made a single recipe from it that wasn't DELICIOUS. People think I'm a great cook because these soups are so good. But I just follow the directions.

I made the Farmhouse Vegetable and Barley recipe and it was awesome. Totally vegetarian and full of flavor. Will be my winter go-to.

Excellent book! We're big fans of ATC and Cooks Country and this book doesn't disappoint. If you make the recipes as written, you will produce restaurant quality results.

This book really does have some very nice soup recipes. I am sometimes disappointed with America's Test Kitchen recipes, but this book does really well
